Step 5: Take this opportunity to make your network a lot more secure. turn the default password to a personal one and jot it down so you won't forget it and have to resort to restarting the router in the future. Also turn the Ssid or the name of the connection. This is commonly in the default setting too which becomes a lot vulnerable to hackers. turn it to one you also will not forget. Now, you have virtually locked your router. Save the settings and log off.
